Since 1975, The BMW 3 Series models have always managed to set the standards of the sport saloon and become one of the best-selling BMW; keeping itself in high standing among competitors in the mid-size sports sedan category.

The BMW 3 series first generation E21 saw the light with a length of 4,355 mm, and since then it has been classified as compact, that its length did not exceed the barrier of 4.5 meters until the birth of the fifth generation of E90 in 2004.

But with the all-new 7th generation, it moved to a further horizon with a length of 85 mm above its previous one to 4,709 mm, a width that gained 16 mm to 1,827 mm and a 1 mm higher height with a wheelbase that got 41 mm an increase to 2,851 mm, which made it the largest in its class, with numbers equivalent to what the big sedans were years ago!

The Bavarian Auto Group, the sole distributor for the German BMW brand in Egypt, recently revealed the seventh generation of the all-new BMW 3 series in the local markets after the car witnessed radical changes in the exteriors and interiors, which included the new uncommon design of the headlights, rear lamps and the gearbox stick.

The all-new BMW 3 series comes with the 1998 CC 4-cylinder engine equipped with a TwinPower Turbo, 184 hp, and torque of 300 N.m meters and a top speed of 235 km per hour, a step-speed transmission of 8 speeds.

The car accelerates from stability to 100 km in 7.1 seconds, and achieve fuel consumption of 6.3-7 liters per 100 km.

The design lines of the all-new BMW 3 Series come as immensely bold and intense, and express the sporting essence of the car. The background is in clear L-shape, which highlights the inherited design characteristics of BMW.

The new-generation of BMW 3 Series design has sharper sidelines with its exterior structure, Active Front Stream Kidney Grille, and a multi-tasking leather steering wheel that gives it a sporty touch while preserving its traditional concept.

On the technical side, the new generation of the BMW 3 series saw concrete modifications, mainly reducing weight, reducing the center of gravity and a fully developed suspension system, in addition to the use of advanced new shock absorbers and electronically controlled differential locks for the driven rear axle.

The Bavarian Auto Group offers the all-new BMW 3 Series in two editions, the 320i Exclusive Line and the more equipped edition, 320i Luxury Line that increases in a number of specifications.

The second edition enjoys seats covered in natural leather Vernasca Leather with décor stitching and the possibility of selection between 3 colors of the interior upholstery.

Its dashboard is inlaid with luxurious wood and high-gloss materials, as well as the outer lines represented in the window frame, in addition to the sunroof that has become larger by 100 mm and LED headlights with cornering lights (Adaptive LED Headlights).

The interior also featured some changes to make it more organized and simple, such as changing the location of the engine start button into the center console and 3-Zone A/C automatic air conditioning, HiFi audio system with 10 speakers, and a memory-assisted electrical adjustment of seats in addition to brown wooden accents Glossy available in a higher-equipped version.

All of this is next to BMW's new entertainment and information system BMW Live Cockpit Plus, which consists of instrument cluster with Black Panel technology with a 5.7-inch screen and an 8.8-inch touch screen display. This system also has a navigation system that is updated with Egypt maps and Apple CarPlay® smart phone pairing system.

In addition, the Parking Assistant system in the all-new BMW 3 Series parks the vehicle parallel or vertically automatic using the rear camera and front and rear sensors.

The car also has many safety measures, most notably the front and side airbags, automatic lighting and rain sensors, interior and exterior anti-dazzling mirrors, cruise control, ABS anti-lock system, DSC stability system and DTC traction control system.

The first and official appearance of the all-new BMW 3 series came during the activities of the 2018 Paris International Fair.
