BMW has recently announced its collaboration with Fossil; the American Clothing and Accessories Design Company. This collaboration is set to launch new BMW branded smart-watch.
A contract has been signed between the two companies, which runs until 2023. In collaboration with the BMW team, Fossil Group will design and distribute BMW branded watches and accessories to be sold globally in more than 4,000 BMW retail channels and key retailers in Fossil Group’s extensive global network that includes branches all over the world.
The first BMW smart-watch will be launched in 2019, and the two companies will launch other models later, but there is no official information yet about the price and specs of these smart watches.
Commenting on the collaboration, Kosta Kartsotis, the chairman and chief executive officer of Fossil Group said “BMW is one of the most iconic brands in the world. We look forward to bringing our watch design expertise and smart-watch capabilities to BMW enthusiasts around the world.”
On the other side, BMW has dealt with a number of smart-watches before, like building remote apps for the Android Wear, the Samsung Gear S2 and S3 and the Apple Watch.
